So far, so good

I've been wearing Speedgoats for a few years and love the cushioning. As I get older my feet are starting to widen and my forefoot is a little pinched in the Speedgoats. I wanted something a little roomier in the toe box and the new Anacapas fit much better. They're heavier and feel sturdier than the Speedgoats but should work well as I use them for walking and hiking. The Vibram sole looks like it should wear well. They were delivered promptly with no surprises. For my purposes I may have found my favourite Hokas.

Super Purchase

I purchased these Hoka Anacapa 2 Low GTX as I wanted a water-resistant walk/trail shoe. Had tried others but with the Gore-Tex insert, they fitted tight. These fit well enough to take the wool socks I wear from time to time. The toe section is large enough for me to feel comfortable. They are also super supportive.
The Vibram sole is a great move as they tend to last a long time.
I put them on, out of the box, and went for a long walk- with no problems. Have since done some longer trail walks and enjoy the comfort and general feeling.
I run with a straight last stability shoe and as I am heavy +230lbs, as I want some comfort – Asics Gel Nimbus. These are a little less straight however they do the job for walking. The size fitted as advertised and can give a 5-star rating.
They also look quite nice – I have the reddish ones.
Using SVP Sport for the transaction was also a great experience and will certainly use them again.
Everything went like clockwork and the shoes got here when they were supposed to.

size always a struggle with Hoka.

I had a pair of torrent in 9.5, too small. Now I buy there Anacapa in size 10, way too big. they are also very wide, and my heel lifts up even when I tight them up. the construction looks solid. I would recommend a size down, and not for normal or narrow feet.
